Bringing Advanced Care to the Curb: The OhioHealth Mobile Stroke Unit

The OhioHealth Mobile Stroke Treatment Unit (MSTU) represents a significant leap forward in neurological emergency care. Built on a powerful Freightliner Crew Cab chassis and powered by a 120-volt Cummins Onan generator, this unit acts as a mobile specialized hospital wing. By bringing advanced diagnostic imaging and telemedicine directly to the patient's location, it dramatically reduces the time to treatmentโ€”a critical factor in stroke outcomes where "time is brain."
