Meet Eddie Callender – the Executive Director and EMS Operations Chief for Gonzales County ESD #1.
He shared about several new and old unit features that assist in the comfort, safety and effectiveness in the field. The 12 foot custom unit is great for maneuverability on some of the smaller county roads. The Cummins Onan generator powers the 120V air conditioning system while also providing less wear-and-tear on the chassis battery.
Some safety features include Life Defender cabinets by Austin Hardware, Technimount mount system, and 6-point safety harnesses.
